Are We Using Too Much Flavoring?

Concentrate

In the video above, I ask a simple question. Are we using too much, or too little, of flavoring? The reason I wanted to make this video is because there’s a lot of misinformation about “concentrations”. Some say there’s no need to go over 1%, even diluting flavorings further. And some say there’s no reason to go past 5-6% of most flavorings, as you’ll only over-flavor them. Well in this video, I take one flavor, TFA Strawberry Ripe, and mix it up at multiple concentrations. 1% – 5% – 10%. And then I test them against eachother. My guess was that they wouldn’t be too different from eachother. After that, I then included 0.5% of Sweetener to each batch, to see how much that affects flavor. Again, I thought each batch wouldn’t differ too much. But I was wrong. Catch the video to see the results.

  1. How about trying the same experiment again, but instead of adding sucralose, add saline solution or perhaps even apple cider vinegar?
