There aren’t too many good cupcake flavorings out there for us. Too many are too light, or too inaccurate, and taste more like a cream. Well FW Vanilla Cupcake changes that! Check out my full review and analysis here.
FW Butter Cream makes its way onto the FlavorBook with an impressive score, mainly due to it’s usefulness in recipes dedicated towards bakeries, creams, custards, and desserts. Click here to check out the full flavoring review.
One of FlavorWest’s most popular flavorings, FW Hazelnut, finally hits the Flavorbook. Under scrutiny, does it live up to its name? Check out the notes here, as well as a sample recipe showcasing its flavor.
Flavor Profile: In terms of sugar cookies, there really is only one flavoring that seems to reign supreme. And that’s CAP’s Sugar Cookie. It’s so vibrant, present, and flavorful, and does a great job on both accuracy, body, and texture. It sets a high bar, but it’s not perfect as it seems to fade, a lot, after a steep in some recipes. Therefore, I’m always looking for a better sugar cookie. FW’s Sugar Cookie is not it, unfortunately. To me,… Continue Reading
Flavor Profile: So this flavoring has recently had a resurgence in my use. After some much extra time, I wanted to update this Flavorbook review to better detail my experience with this ingredient. – There are a bunch of Yogurts on the market, and FW’s is one of the most well-known. It’s also one of the oldest yogurts on the market. Its flavor profile is also definitely unique, compared to a lot of others. Upon opening it, there’s a very strong… Continue Reading
Flavor Profile: I’ve used and wrote about this flavoring countless times, but now, finally, I’ve decided to make a full analysis. Of course, we start with its flavor. FW Vanilla Bean Ice Cream is a rich, decadent, dairy flavor, that has a light nuttiness and a light butter note that gives it its distinct flavor. In terms of accuracy, it’s quite similar to a fresh scoop of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Meaning, VBIC normally has a certain type of brightness… Continue Reading
Flavor Profile: Flavor West’s Salted Caramel is quite an unusual flavoring. On one hand you have a caramel flavor, light notes of brown sugar, as well as this backdrop of light butterscotch. On the other hand you have….salt. The big question about this ingredient is does it actually provide a salty vape? And surprisingly enough, it does. Just not quite in the way you expect. Touching on the caramel first, this is the most disappointing aspect. It’s just not a solid… Continue Reading
Flavor Profile: Obviously in the name, this ingredient is supposed to mimic the flavor of Apple Jacks cereal. And for the most part, it does. For the most part. The flavor of Apple Jacks Type (aka Apple J Cereal from BCF, or Apple Loops from ECX) has that green apple top note with a bit of red apple to follow, all combined with this oddly familiar cinnamon cereal note, finished with a bit of white sugar. Now reading that you’d… Continue Reading
Flavor Profile: I can only assume that the flavoring Flavorwest is trying to emulate here is the Twinkie. Or at least some type of variation of it. So any comparisons to the flavor will be made with that understanding. Right off the bat I’m just going to say this doesn’t resemble a Twinkie what-so-ever. There’s really nothing about the flavoring that pulls anything authentic together. It’s more of just a muddled mess of light yellow cake, more closely towards CAP’s… Continue Reading
Flavor Profile: Hold Fast’s “JAWS” is a jawbreaker flavored e-liquid that I really enjoyed when it first came out. I thought the e-liquid did the “jawbreaker” like flavor really well, and I always wanted to use that flavor in my own recipes. (FW) Hard Candy is THE flavoring that makes up the flavor of “Jaws”. It tastes very much like the dry outside of a jawbreaker. A powdery, white sugar, like taste, with a hint of cotton candy on the end.… Continue Reading
