INW White Grapefruit

Flavor Profile: Grapefruit is a flavor profile that’s perfect for the summer. Some have an aversion to the extremely tart and slightly bitter citrus. But when used correctly, it adds a bright sharpness to your recipes that help them shine. INW White Grapefruit, in my opinion, is one of the best in class. The top of the flavor is where all of the sweetness and fruity elements sit. I mainly taste a fresh and ripe grapefruit, with maybe a light grapefruit… Continue Reading

TFA Sweet Raspberry

Flavor Profile: Raspberry has always been pretty much hit or miss in DIY. In fact, for the most part, they’re all a miss. TFA Sweet Raspberry is a very popular raspberry because it does pack some tolerable raspberry flavor, without introducing too many off-notes or weird quirks. But notice how I’m being very condescending to the flavor, mainly because, it’s not that good. So the flavor profile matches a red raspberry, but there is a bit of juiciness that helps add… Continue Reading

VT Cookie Dough

So cookie dough is a flavoring that’s almost always missed. Ever since my cookie dough adventure began, I’ve gotten my hopes up in trying to find that “one” cookie dough flavoring that’s in liquids like Rolling in the Dough and Da Vinci (both discontinued). The closest version I’ve gotten to was FLV’s Cookie Dough which I used in my Obsidian recipe, who’s flavor was close, but did have some off notes, and didn’t have that gritty flour or chocolate chip… Continue Reading

CAP Sweet Mango

Capella’s Sweet Mango, much like a lot of their fruits, have been making their way a lot more into my mixes, the more I use them. As FLV’s Mango dominated recipes in 2017, many have left behind Capella’s offering. But after much use, I find I enjoy it a bit more, and it might take the throne as my favorite mango at the time of this writing. Flavor Profile: CAP Sweet Mango is much like all the other mangoes available… Continue Reading

VT Blueberry

Vape Train is a new flavoring company out of Australia, aka The Land Down Undah, aka The Upside Down, aka Poison Spider Land. I’ve been messing with these flavorings since I received them, and after a month or so, I’ve finally gotten enough work with them to write my flavor book entries. The first victim is VT Blueberry. Flavor Profile: There seems to be two types of Blueberry flavorings. One that tries to emulate the tart, deep, flavor of a… Continue Reading

TFA Greek Yogurt

Flavor Profile: Yogurts have been in vaping for many years now. While it’s relatively new compared to profiles like tobacco and mint, it’s become embedded into vaping liquid. My favorites being both of Capella’s offerings. But ever since I really started enjoying the more “tart” side of yogurt vapes, I’ve been using more and more TFA Greek Yogurt. The profile is a rich and creamy dairy, with a sharp, slightly sour, cheesy tang on the end that really pulls together… Continue Reading

FW Salted Caramel

Flavor Profile: Flavor West’s Salted Caramel is quite an unusual flavoring. On one hand you have a caramel flavor, light notes of brown sugar, as well as this backdrop of light butterscotch. On the other hand you have….salt. The big question about this ingredient is does it actually provide a salty vape? And surprisingly enough, it does. Just not quite in the way you expect. Touching on the caramel first, this is the most disappointing aspect. It’s just not a solid… Continue Reading
