VT Cookie Dough

So cookie dough is a flavoring that’s almost always missed. Ever since my cookie dough adventure began, I’ve gotten my hopes up in trying to find that “one” cookie dough flavoring that’s in liquids like Rolling in the Dough and Da Vinci (both discontinued). The closest version I’ve gotten to was FLV’s Cookie Dough which I used in my Obsidian recipe, who’s flavor was close, but did have some off notes, and didn’t have that gritty flour or chocolate chip… Continue Reading →

FLV Moscato

Moscato is a specific type of Italian wine, that borders more on the sweeter, bubbly side. Think more along the lines of champagne, but with specific Italian grapes called Muscat grapes. It’s known as a dessert wine due to its light, sweet nature. Flavorah does their best at emulating this, and for the most part, they’ve succeeded. Flavor Profile: FLV Moscato excited me when I first tried it. It’s a semi-white grape flavor, with a specific brightness that beautifully touches upon… Continue Reading →

VT Blueberry

Vape Train is a new flavoring company out of Australia, aka The Land Down Undah, aka The Upside Down, aka Poison Spider Land. I’ve been messing with these flavorings since I received them, and after a month or so, I’ve finally gotten enough work with them to write my flavor book entries. The first victim is VT Blueberry. Flavor Profile: There seems to be two types of Blueberry flavorings. One that tries to emulate the tart, deep, flavor of a… Continue Reading →

OOO Cream PG (Milky Undertone)

Flavor Profile: This is a flavoring that has gotten a lot of hype throughout the years. It’s often known as the “best plain milk flavoring available”, in which that quote is not my own. I picked some up quite a while ago, hopefully being able to finally grasp that elusive milk flavor. While this does a good job of trying to reach that profile, it doesn’t quite live up to the hype. The flavor is indeed flat, much like milk.… Continue Reading →

HS Pumpkin Pie

Flavor Profile: We’ve all been searching for the right pumpkin flavoring for quite some time now. All we’ve really had before this flavoring came out were the nutmeg/clove monstrosities of the Pumpkin Spice variety from TFA/FW/CAP. This one, luckily for us, is the real deal. It’s actual pumpkin, its subtleties and everything. It’s actually really surprising at how close this flavoring is to pumpkin filling. The flavor is quite subtle, much like real pumpkin, bordering on the vegetal qualities of… Continue Reading →

WF Peach Pie & Cream

Flavor Profile: Peach has always been a prominent flavor in vaping. There are tons of peaches out there, and for the most part, they all have a very similar flavor profile. A lot of them taste like the candied version of peach. One that tastes like the delicious peach rings you get at any mart. WF Peach Pie and Cream is one that I can safely say is the most authentic ripe peach I’ve had. It’s accuracy is excellent in that… Continue Reading →

FLV Cookie Dough

Flavor Profile: Cookie Dough is a profile I’ve been hunting for some time. I talk about it  extensively in the latest release of Obsidian, so check it out for more info on finding that profile as well as a great example recipe. But there are a lot of notes within cookie dough that makes it so distinct. One being that buttery, floury, sugary body. Nailing that is crucial to getting the right cookie dough flavor profile. And with FLV’s offering, they… Continue Reading →

SOL Doughnut

Testing Setup: Tested at 6% NarDa RDA Single coil 24 AWG @ 40 Watts 0.6ohms 2 Weeks steep Story: One problem when it comes to certain flavourings within the DIY scene is that some just don’t hit the mark in terms of creating that profile. What they say on the bottle just doesn’t transfer well when turning that flavour into a vape. A good tasting donut is certainly one of them profiles. Let’s take Capella Glazed Donuts for example. Without going too… Continue Reading →

WF Orange Juice

Testing Setup: Tested at 6% / Narda RDA / single coil / 24AWG / 40w / 0.6ohms / 2 weeks steep Story: Normally an orange flavour usually focuses on a specific orange profile. They are usually based on a certain play off the orange whether it’s an authentic orange, a juicy orange, blood orange, the orange rind, orange cream or the segments inside a mandarin orange. So, I was excited to try a different offering in the form of orange juice… Continue Reading →

FLV Mango

Testing Setup: Tested at 2% / NarDa RDA / single coil / 24AWG / 35-45 W / 0.6ohms / 2 weeks steep Story: Mangoes are generally sweet and exotic, although its taste and texture of its flesh varies across cultivars. Some have a soft, pulpy texture similar to overripe plums while others can be somewhat firmer like an avocado or cantaloupe melon. The mango is a juicy stone fruit cultivated from tropical fruiting trees native to South Asia. They vary in size… Continue Reading →
